Job Description

Rolling Plains Management Corporation is seeking applicants for the position of Coordination Specialist at Wilbarger County Preschool in Vernon, Texas. Applicants must be 21 years of age with preferred supervisory experience and excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to balance a variety of duties, prioritize and meet deadlines as required.  Must be detail oriented and flexible with the ability to adapt to change in the workplace.  Must possess one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 college credit hours in child development and one-year experience in a licensed child-care center and a minimum of 6 college hours of business management.
  • Associate’s Degree in child development or closely related field with at least 6 college credit hours in child development and at least two years experience in a licensed child-care center and a minimum of 6 college credit hours of business management.
  • Sixty college credit hours with at least nine college credit hours in child development and at least two years experience in a licensed child-care center and a minimum of 6 college hours of business management.
  • A child-care administrator’s certificate with at least 15 college credit hours in child development and at least two years experience in a licensed child-care center and a minimum of 3 college hours of business management.
  • Child Development Associate credential or Certified Child-Care Professional credential and at least two years of experience in a licensed child-care center and a minimum of 6 college hours of business management.
  • A day-care administrator’s credential issued by a professional organization or education institution and approved by Licensing based on criteria specified in Subchapter P of Chapter 745 of 746.1015 (relating to Day-Care Administrator’s Credential Program) and at least two years of experience in a licensed child-care center.
  • Nine college credit hours in child development and at least three years of experience in a licensed child-care center and a minimum of nine college credit hours of business management instead of the six required under other options.

The Coordination Specialist works directly under the Center Director and is essential in the effective day-to-day functioning of the facility.  The Coordination Specialist balances business concerns with what's good for the children and provides leadership and direction to the staff responsible for providing safe and healthy care for the children.
